A Genuinely Useful UI Innovation: onMouseOver
After watching the Galaxy S4 event video, I saw the hardware capability to support a genuinely useful UI advancement: onMouseOver for touchscreen browsers using hover-over behavior.
Imagine being able to browse a website with multiple pulldown menus. With hover-over replacing onMouseOver events, all these menus suddenly become usable again. Of course, it's up to the touchscreen drivers to call this event, and mobile browser makers to accept it. Also, mobile websites would need to be programmed to accept this functionality.
Still, this would make existing desktop-websites much easier to use. Chrome for Android developers, get on it!
