The Nokia Lumia 920 is a serious contender for best phone of 2012, with its list of innovations and Pureview camera. The design, while not perfect due to the weight, is top notch, and the handset feels great in the hand due to the curved edges making it fit nicely in the hands. It also feels reassuringly solid, and can take a knock or two without any problems.
The camera is fantastic, and it keeps getting better with every update. It shows details in low light that no other phone can show, and the stabilisation in the video works great.
Battery life is also good, and it easily lasts me a day of average usage. The ability to charge it wirelessly might sound like a gimmick at first, but once you get used to it, you can never go back.
The screen is also a highlight of this device, with the Puremotion HD+ only noticeable when put in direct comparison with other phones, and it makes the Lumia 920 always appear smoother than the competition.
Windows Phone 8 is a breath of fresh air compared to Android and iOS, and the more you use it, the more you like it. It feels very personal and built around you, something that can not be said about other OSs. The apps also seem to be increasing everyday, and the ecosystem keeps getting healthier, with updates always popping up these days.
Overall, I am a very happy owner of the Lumia 920. Highly recommend this device for people looking for a unique and beautiful alternative.
