Microsoft has started to sell its Surface RT and Surface Pro tablets direct to businesses. ZDNet has spotted a new volume ordering service that allows businesses to order in bulk. The site doesn't appear to require premier, enterprise, or volume license agreements, but the software maker does request a Microsoft representative's name and email address to process a bulk order. Third-parties can sign in using a Microsoft Account.
Commercial orders can be placed in North America, Asia-Pacific, and across Europe wherever Surface is currently available. Microsoft is also offering businesses a three-year extended hardware service plan, priced at $200 for the Surface Pro and $150 for the Surface RT. The plan is only available in the US and Canada up to 45 days after purchase.
