Motorola as Google's Android testbed
Motorola's version of Android is almost completely stock at this point, with a few Moto customizations. Now what if in the future, those Moto customizations turned out to be early (but stable enough for the consumer) versions of features and ideas Google is working on for a future version of Android.
Also, think about all the custom software (or re-branding of existing software, i.e. Samsung's S-Whatever apps) that OEMs add to give their products unique selling points. That has me thinking Google could be a little mischievous, and use Motorola as a way to keep some of their new ideas and features exclusive to themselves, while adding the less exciting things to Android proper.
So, do any of you think we could see something along these lines happen in the future?
