Use a Samsung Chromebook with a desktop monitor
I am thinking about having my brother pick up a Chromebook and use it as a desktop with the option of taking it as a laptop if/when he wants. I am thinking of using the HDMI out for an external monitor with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Has anyone done anything like this? Does the setup work ok? He has had his current desktop for about 5 years and probably have 5GB worth of information on it. He doesn't even care if he gets anything off the old desktop. He seems like a perfect person for Chrome OS and has a laptop if needed. I like the Chromebook over the Chromebox because it's cheaper but I would be open to the Chromebox too if you guys think that might be better. I'd love to hear some thoughts and/or other ideas.
