2011 MPB 13" Lion scrolling bug

Hello

Everytime I restart my Macbook the my scrolling automatically goes back to "natural scrolling" (and the box isn't even checked!) and pinch to zoom, two finger rotate etc is all checked but don't work

Rechecking all the boxes fixes the problem but still it's annoying and I don't know why it's happening.

I'm running the latest version of Lion. Is this Apple's way to try and annoy me enough to upgrade to Mountain Lion?

(just kidding)

any advice on the subject would help a lot.
