Make this phone, HTC, and you win.

Rumors of the Nexus 5 have been swirling and many point towards HTC. If HTC is in fact the bearer of the next Nexus, the game plan seems obvious to me; keep the craftsmanship of the One, add some updated internals, and obviously ship with stock Android.

  • Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie
  • Snapdragon 800 processor, 2.3 GHz
  • 4.7 inch SLCD 3 FHD display
  • 3000 mAh battery
  • Improved Ultrapixel camera from current version
  • Expandable storage

HTC might have to sacrifice wireless charging or some overall phone thinness to fit in the larger battery cell but I think it would be worth the trade off. Most first impressions of the HTC One say that the phone is a little too tall for comfort so by eliminating the capacitive buttons and switching to onscreen buttons, the phone height would be reduced. I also think they should place the sleep/wake button on the side of the phone for easier access.

Who else agrees with me that this would be the ideal Nexus 5? What changes would you like to see?
