Well, I took (my own) Bing Challenge...

First off, I just want to say I love Google's card results, both for Google Now and in the regular Google search. Although I'm not a huge sports fan, the University of Arizona is my alma mater, so by default I care about how we do in the tournament.

Just for fun, I decided to compare the Google and Bing results for the phrase:

"what is the score of the university of arizona game"

I think the results speak for themselves:Bingchallenge_jpg_medium

Now, the purpose of this post isn't to bash Microsoft or Bing - if it was, I'd be trolling in the Microsoft Tribe. Rather, I think it illustrates better than words the clear advantage Google's search continues to have over Bing's search, despite their "Bing Challenge" ad campaign. Google's ability to interpret questions as part of Natural Language queries like this one is, I think, a really big deal, as a significant step above the competition.

Anyway, it was a fun little mini-experiment, and the results were so clear, I just had to share.
