Amazon's purchase of Goodreads

Well, this happened. I'm not sure how to feel about it, honestly. I'm conflicted generally about Amazon's role in books (for a lof of reasons, but mostly because I love independent book sellers), but this move says they're really still very serious about books and Kindle -- obviously a good thing for readers. I've loved Goodreads for a long time, though, and I have doubts about the ways the service will change. Though short term, of course, it will mean more money -- Goodreads has been slow to make improvements over the years.

What do you think?
