Did anyone ever go thourgh a fanboy era?

By that I mean a period of time where for whatever reason you had moderate to severe case fanboism. For me it started when I was around 12 back in the fall of 2005 and got a Sony camera for my birthday. From that point on being the silly pre-teen that I was I, I came to see Sony as perfect, they made everything you could want and it all had nice design. In the following years I got a Sony alarm clock, Sony flash drive, and a Sony CD player. This ended the winter of my freshman year of high school on Christmas 2007. I got a 4gb Zune mp3 player. I really wanted a Zune because I thought iPods were to mainstream for me, and for whatever reason I did not like Apple at all in those days. A week later I got my first Xbox 360, so for some time I became a Microsoft fanboy. In the fall of 2010 I got my 16gb Zune HD which I still use to this day. It is a great little device. At this point I became more into the Microsoft camp. In 2011 I got a HTC Trophy with Windows Phone 7. I also had a Windows 7 laptop. Later that year after hearing about Windows 8 I thought it was the most amazing thing in the world. To me it seemed like what I had always imagined a computer in the future would be like. I did not buy it when it was $40. I felt like it wasn't all there yet. So now my fanboism for Microsoft has died down some, I still enjoy their products and am in their ecosystem; however I really want to get an Android device to try all the cool features that it offers. So how about the rest of The Verge community? Did you ever have a fanboy era in your life? Perhaps you are in one right now, and never want it to end. I look forward to the responses!
