Tablets and the Future: Are They Compatible?

The immediate answer will, of course, be a resounding 'YES!' But even as of today, these devices have their limitations, and people prefer to use laptops for more intensive operations and to make use of a physical keyboard, and other features not readily available with a tablet. You have apps that do everything on a tablet that a laptop can do, so why is it still not convincing power users to get rid of their laptops and completely switch to using only their iPads for everything? Or am I missing something here (as usual)? Note that I know next to nothing about business and its mechanics and whatnot, so I can't comment on the uses in that field.
