How is Waterloo?

Hi, I've just recently received an acceptance to the Management Engineering program at Waterloo, and have been scouring the internet for more insight into the program, degree, and anecdotal experiences. This post is simply to see if any of the Verge commenters have / known of anyone with experiences at the program, and of the overall job prospects after graduating.

  • How is the salary range for graduates with only an undergrad, or with an additional master's under their belt? (the 5 year program comes with co-op "built-in", and an annualized salary of around $10,000 to $20,000)
  • Are the job prospects relatively wide, or narrow when compared to other engineer and business degrees (anecdotal evidence) ?
  • How is the program itself, based on personal experiences? (Enjoyable, difficult but rewarding, etc.)
  • How is the surrounding culture and overall community?
Thanks for all the input, I truly appreciate it :)
