App tips to a new iPhone user

Hey, so I recently got an iPhone through work. Normally I'm an android user (I got 2 devices running 4.2) but I'm kinda excited to see how iOS compares.

Anyway, people have convinced me that the app selection is greater on iOS (well I know it's true) but I have run into a bit of an issue. The App Store performs awfully on my phone, It's quite laggy, very very slow and somewhat cumbersome to use. All of which makes discovering apps very tricky and tedious for me.

So I'm wondering if you have any tips for me on some must have apps that you use frequently?

Btw, I'm not really interested in games right now. And also I have no problems paying for good quality apps. But I'm not interested in dishing out 5€ for the worlds flashiest weather app either.

What I've found so far that I like:

  1. Mailbox (in queue)
  2. Feedly
  3. Good weather
  4. Rego
  5. Moni
  6. AppFlow
  7. Some Google apps (Youtube, G+ & Google Maps)

Or maybe you can point me towards some great sites or other resources that you use! Maybe there is a thread for this already. I tried to search for a bit. If there is please point me to it! :)
