I found this really interesting
Recently, Sammy unveiled 2 new phones. I'm looking at one of them in this short post.
This is the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3.. It has the following dimensions:
167.6 x 88 x 8 mm (6.60 x 3.46 x 0.31 in)
As some people on The Verge might know, I love to design phones and such. When I found out about the 2 Galaxy Mega's, I went ahead and copied their dimensions into my Google Doc. for comparison purposes to 2 of my devices. After, I looked at the dimensions of the Mega 6.3 and compared them to that of my Nova Atomos Curve. And was absolutely astonished. Here is my Atomos Curve for just for the pictures. And the dimensions are as follows, with screen size and resolution. And for simplicity, I'll include the mega dimensions, and as well as other comparison dimensions.
6.9” (17.526cm) 1440p HD (2.5K)
1440x2560 OcTile AMOLED 9:16 (426 ppi, 168 ppcm)
163.79 x 87.93 x 6.3mm
Samsung Galaxy Mega 167.6 x 88 x 8 mm
PSP1000 74 x 170 x 23 mm
PSP2000/3000 71 x 169 x 19 mm
PSP GO 69 x 128 x 16.5 mm
PS Vita 83.55 x 182 x 18.6 mm
I don't know how other people feel, but I was absolutely astonished that my Nova Atomos Curve, with such a large screen, actually managed to be smaller than Samsung's Galaxy Mega 6.3, which has a much smaller screen. What is everyone else's thoughts on this?
Note, "Nova" is the name I've come up for to use as a possible company name, and "Atomos Curve" is a device which I've designed using Google SketchUp. You know, because obviously it doesn't yet exist, no need to state the obvious. If it did exist, you'd have heard about it.
