HTC is missing a serious market opportunity with the 8X and 8S bodies
When was the last time you saw a mainstream colorful Android phone? Oh that's right, never.
I have a Nokia Lumia 920 right now, and I'm not too proud to say a huge reason for my leaving Android to get it was being bored with Android hardware (and software to a lesser extent). The 920 was bright, blue, curvy, solid, awesome. I wanted that cyan phone to stand out, and it does, and I love this thing. But I love the HTC 8X even more (got Nokia for their better software support on WP).
The HTC 8X is the best-feeling phone I've ever held (Vlad agrees, see his review), and I consider it to be essentially the ideal size. HTC, why don't you use the 8X body and make an Android phone? Put in software buttons and squeeze a 4.5" screen into it, keep the colors and add a few more, beef up the battery, and throw in that UltraPixel sensor. I would buy it in a heartbeat, no joke. And you could do the same with the 8S for the mid- to lower-end.
Android needs some colorful hardware. HTC already has it. Just slap Android on it, keep the internals as good as those on the One, make me happy and make some sales!
