If you insist on Boot to Desktop, you're either lazy or old, or both

When you see the Start Screen, tap your Windows key on your keyboard to get to Desktop. Done.

I'm genuinely curious about why Boot to Desktop is so important and would save so much time or whatever other value it supposedly has.

The way I see it, based on the one-tap effort involved in getting to Desktop, you're either lazy or old to the point that even the slightest of changes is so disconcerting that it introduces all kinds of irrational explanations for why the "old way is the best way."

Imagine your mom or dad when introduced to new music or new food. That's you.
