Microsoft is set to open up registration for its 2013 Build conference today. Scheduled to start on June 26th in San Francisco, the annual developer conference will this year serve as a platform for the grand unveiling of the "Blue" Windows 8 update, which will reportedly be named Windows 8.1. Microsoft is also expected to release a public preview of the OS at the event.

A milestone build of Blue has already been extensively leaked and previewed on video, but we expect Microsoft will have more to show us this June. Registration will open at 12PM ET with tickets priced at $2,095. Build is expected to sell out fast, and the first 500 applicants will pay just $1,595, so if you're interested in attending head over to the official site with plenty of time to spare.

Update: The 2013 Build conference is officially sold out just under a day after registration opened.
