What Benefit Would Google Have for Acquiring Path?
Dave Morin said once that he wasn't building to sell Path, but there are many people who are saying that it would be a smart buy for Google (or others, Apple, Yahoo, etc.) to buy the 'personal network'. But I never understood why it would be a benefit for Google. They already have Google+, so if they do acquire Path, would they kill the service and replace it as a section of Google+? Or would they keep the service as a separate entity, like how Orkut was for a while? Could anyone help me understand the justification for the claims and thoughts that Google should acquire Path?
