The shift to Android
Facebook seems to be betting the farm on Android. It's wised up that the future is mobile and Mark Zuckerberg's company is being a lot more proactive than Twitter, with their last half-arsed update. Reading the article about that story made this blog even more relevant. Rather than going half-and-half, Facebook is burning all the bridges and going where the ball will be.
It's a very bold decision for a company that has peaked on desktops and laptops and is hungry for more growth. I just hope they are successful and start setting a trend that should have happened a long time ago, dedicated coding for each mobile platform. Cutting features from an Android app just because iOS "can't handle it" is something that should have never happened. But that's what you get when you have marketing and sales veto-ing the tech departments.
