Can Facebook Home change the way we use our phones?

Today Facebook launched Home. An Android launcher initially available for several phones.Including the HTC First (AKA the Facebook Phone) The app promises to "put people first" Facebooks says that you will receive notifications; from people, not apps. Facebook is hoping this will create a more engaging experience an open windows into Facebook ecosystem. The app allows for friction-less sharing meaning you can post a status, a photo or check in right from your homescreen.

Okay so here’s what’s interesting, where are people talking about this? Verge editors? Other journalists? Geeks? The regular Joe? Well at the time of writing this the top trend on Twitter is #facebookphone so I’ll let you figure it out. Facebook is no longer where news breaks, and by breaking down the barriers of sharing Facebook are very clearly aiming to change this but is it too late?
