Apple's secrecy doesn't sound like a benefit in the current climate.
I joined the Apple realm a few years ago. I love using my Mac and I'm mostly pleased with my iOS devices. It looks like media are starting to describe a plateau in Apple's wow-factor. iOS is getting stale and new products are not as impressive as they used to be.
Apple has always used its secrecy to drum up the rumor mill. It builds excitement. (Although, I'm sick of the rumors anymore and avoid headlines that end with "?".) It seems like Apple would benefit from being at least a little more transparent with their plans. It seems Apple is too secretive / unsupportive / snobbish with accessory makers and developers.
It feels like this is a make-or-break year, so, is it just me or is the secrecy more of a drag on the momentum this year?
