'Neuromancer' Chapters 13 through 18: The Straylight Run

This is where things are starting to get weird. Multiple lobes of the same brain, fragmenting personalities, a human wasp nest, death that isn't, and a heist that's progressively more ornate. This is also the chapter that contains some of my favorite vignettes, particularly this exchange:

"How do you cry, Molly? I see your eyes are walled away."
"I don't cry, much."
"But how would you cry, if someone made you cry?"
"I spit," she said. "The ducts are routed back into my mouth."

We also get a coda to "Johnny Mnemonic," and Johnny did not, in fact, get to become the most technical boy in town. In the end, nobody ever does.
