The HTC One has to be the most amazing device I have ever used. The look, the feel, the functionality, the features, I could go on. I am amazed at how well crafted the One is with its aluminum unibody. To be honest, HTC was the one manufacturer that got me interested in aluminum devices and with all those years of experience, they've now perfected its use with this device.

The overall design of the One is superb as well as its fit and finish. The way it is curved at the back, for me, is the best design feature there can be for something you are constantly holding. It just feels right. The way the sides are tapered to the front also helps with grip. I love the cold feel when picking it up after a long while and when it gets warm in your hand, it doesn’t feel like metal, it feels warm and inviting almost like velvet.
When the beautiful 1080p screen in not on, the front of the device looks just as stunning sitting there. The black screen area contrasted by the top and bottom speaker elements is just beautiful. The way HTC chose not to “hide” the front camera or sensors but instead make them part of the design shows the thought put into how this device was going to look. Part of the reason I prefer the silver version to the black.

The features of the HTC One are nothing short of amazing, from the BoomSound speakers to the camera and its Zoe capture mode I have to say it is generously packed with useful stuff. BlinkFeed is also great. I love using it on a daily basis where I have my sources I keep up to date with along with new stories and articles from sources I have not yet discovered. Every day I see something new or I’m introduced to different topics based on my selected interests. Great if you like being surprised with new content.
I find the elements of the UltraPixel camera to be great in their own right. Images produced are clear and sharp and thanks to the built in OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) slight hand movements are easily compensated for. Zoe and all the image adjustments you can make are more than enough for users to play with. Haven’t tried out all its features yet, but so far so good! Also, the editing features available from the gallery, like object removal and the smile capture are two of my favourites.

I've got to say that Sense 5 has definitely stepped up its level of polish. It all looks uniform, from the menus to the home screens, etc. Its speed as well is amazing; I have experienced zero hiccups or slowdowns since using my One. All thanks to its stellar internal specs. I am glad I bought this device over any other and I, for sure, have no regrets about it.
