What would you recommend for our project?
We're working on a new online ‘how to' series about cooking and would appreciate some help with finding a suitable camera.
To give you an idea of the type of thing that we're after, there's a concept video that we've made, which you can view here: http://youtu.be/dAl64k5inUU
Basically we're looking for something that will work well in a kitchen/indoor environment. Outdoor filming will be extremely limited, so good low-light performance is something to bear in mind.
Onboard audio quality isn't a priority (we dub over separately), but mic-in would be a bonus for future expansion.
The challenge? We have a budget around $500-600.
I'm not that adept when it comes to photography, but after some research, I've singled out the D3200 as a possible candidate. It fits within the price bracket, appears to have good low-light, and comes with a mic-in.
So my question is, do you think this is a good camera for our needs? If not, is there something else you'd recommend?
Similarly, am I right in assuming that a DSLR would work better for this type of video, at this price point, than a camcorder?
Any help is very much appreciated,
