Best naming convention when the "firstnamelastname.com" domain is taken?
So I've recently decided to register my own domain and use Google Apps as an email service (so I can have the firstname.lastname@example.org address). The problem is, the domain I wanted ("firstnamelastname.com") is already taken. Some of the alternatives I have avaliable are:
And there's tons more. My main concern with using characters outside of the alphabet is that someone won't recognize it correctly and mistake it as something else. So, I'm trying to stick to just the alphabet. In addition, I'm not sure I like the idea of going outside of the ".com" ending. Now then, what naming convention just Meta recommend?
