"HTC First" Running Stock Android. Any Takers Out There?

23

The HTC First as the "Facebook phone" is a miserable flop, but as the only 4.3 inch carrier phone capable of running stock Android 4.1.2 by easily disabling Facebook Home, is this a compelling device and has anyone taken the plunge? I see a lot of reviews, good and bad, but not much feedback from actual purchasers. The crappy 5MP camera be damned, this is a reasonably-sized phone with otherwise decent specs: 1.4Ghz Dual Core Snapdragon, 341ppi Super LCD Display, 16GB storage, and LTE! The only uncertainty is whether or not HTC will push out future updates beyond 4.1.2. Otherwise, these phones can be had on eBay for well under $300 with no contract. If anyone has real-world usage and feedback on the HTC First (minus Facebook Home, of course), please post!
