Crowdsourcing WWDC expectations. (Updated)
It's June already!
We are now less than 10 days away from the highly anticipated WWDC keynote. This is THE big event of the year for Apple users.
This great post has been up here for a couple days now, which will eventually score you on your WWDC expectations, but personally, I'd rather like to see whether the Core's expectations and wishes as a whole are met, rather than which one person's.
So here's my idea: You make a comment about whatever product/ feature/ change you expect to be brought about in WWDC, and leave three replies to that one, "Yea", "Nay", or "Don't care", or any other alterations of these three you like, but in this order, to make listing them later easy (I've made the very first one to make the layout plain to all). Everyone should then recommend whatever one option of the three they support, and I'll tally up the recommendations this time next week, and the most recommended reply for each expectation shall be then compiled into an official Apple Core WWDC expectations list.
How's that sound, eh?
There's just a bunch of rules I'd like everyone to follow:
1.) The first rule of this post is that you do talk about it! Seriously, spread the word. The sample space for each feature has to be huge for it to count in the Apple Core's expectations list. Feel free to share to social networks. Make use of your klout! Do recommend this post too.
2.) Be precise: As much as you can, please be precise. For example, something like "Flat iOS 7" isn't a binary statement and has many possible meanings. "Completely flat iOS 7" or "Completely de-glossed iOS 7 are better options. Do link to any rumour, mock-up or concept if you're post is about something specific.
3.) Do not discuss ANYTHING. This is not the place to argue about whether or not the requested feature is a valid one. Feel free to make other threads to discuss specific things, but just let the interaction here be limited to new expectations and recommendations. This thread has to stay clutter-free to make it possible for everyone to make their views on every topic stated known.
4.) Please recommend one option, and one option only. "Yea" if you believe it should happen, "Nay" if you staunchly believe it shouldn't, and "Don't care" if you're indifferent to what happens. Also, we want your opinions on everything here. If you are still undecided about anything, just recommend the "Don't care" option, if only temporarily.
5.) Please refrain from posting absolutely useless stuff like,"iOS 7 will be unveiled" or "Macs will be refreshed with Haswell". They are absolutely sure to happen and do not add to the discussion. I'd really appreciate it if the mods could be of help and delete useless posts.
That's about it, I guess.
Happy recommending to y'all!
