XBox moving in the wrong direction

The 360 has fundamental problems. They are not great secrets either and I would have thought a new console is an opportunity to correct whats broken....

Issue 1. Paying for things that I have already paid for. I already paid for Hulu+ and a Netflix account so why would I choose an XBox to watch those services if I also have to pay for a GOLD membership? I have a number of alternative devices to choose from to deliver the same service including a Windows 7 Media center PC...

Issue 2. My kids are only going to play that game for 2 weeks anyway so why would I pay $50 for it if I cannot re-sale it when they are bored with it? If you are going to only charge a few bucks and make it truly disposable like games from Google Play or whatever your app store of choice is then this isn't an issue but $30-50 is not disposable pricing.

Issue 3. My XBox is in my living room, not an abandoned blimp hangar. If you expect me to use the kinnect then it has to WORK. If I have to move all furniture out of the living room to play a game then it doesn't really work now does it? The kinnect was frankly the biggest disappointment ever put out by Microsoft (And I had a Windows ME laptop once). It promised gaming for the masses like a Wii with better graphics and yet the XBox was just as hardcore gamer niche focused as ever.

I regret buying my 360 and nothing about the new XBox sounds like a compelling reason to upgrade.
