Just last year, I bought a brand new Zenbook Prime which seemed amazing to me at the time because it was my first ultrabook. After a while, I noticed the the performance and trackpad were really lacking especially after playing with my friend's MBA.
One year later, I've decided to give the Macbook Air and OS X a try and I'm not regretting it so far. This model is meant to stand out for its battery life and the tests don't lie, it does have amazing battery life. Performance is better than Windows ultrabooks with the same specs, mainly due to software optimizations. The keyboard is amazing even though I'm still getting used to the shortcuts. The trackpad is out of this world and is in a different league compared to Windows trackpads. Despite the screen resolution, it is still very good looking and on par with my 1080p Zenbook, except for the slightly glossy display. Nothing else stands out really, which is a very good thing...
I'd like to end by saying that Mac OS X is better than Windows in many, many ways other than maybe gaming and compatibility. It has been much easier to get work done on my Mac compared to my PC.
