I have been doing a little digging and found the Moto X as per severals spec leaks quite intriguing. I know a lot of people have been put off by the "mid range specs", but there may be something different about this particular phone. I believe that Motorola has carefully selected the components of this device to produce flagship performance on a small screen, while simultaneously achieving great battery life and maybe even breaking the $299 price barrier. Its like a Nexus 4 Mini!

Consider if the points below were possible with the Moto X and Motorola sells it cheaper than the Nexus 4 at $249.99. Would you buy the Moto X?

  1. Dual Core Snapdragon S4 Pro - Nexus 10 performance at a dirt cheap price http://www.antutu.com/view.shtml?id=5878 - "..it is as good as the A15 chip Google Nexus 10 adopted, but its price would be much lower than Snapdragon 600"
  2. Smooth Graphics & 10MP Camera http://pocketnow.com/2012/10/26/snapdragon-s4-pro "The Krait is considered a "Cortex-A15-class" processor by some, but not by others. Let’s just say it’s taken a lot of the stuff from the Cortex-A15 and adapted them for it’s own awesome purposes. Deal?" "The S4 Pro is capable of a powering a camera up to to 20 MP along with a flawless 1080p HD video recorder. Playback via the Adreno 320 GPU also helps the S4 Pro to shine and is said to be capable of playing multiple 1080P video streams at 30 fps without dropping a single frame"
  3. Two Day Battery Life on Single Charge http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_first-review-921p2.php The HTC First with similar battery and screen size as the Moto X, "will easily make it through more than two full days if used for an hour each of telephony, web browsing, and video playback daily. "

P.S. 1080p resolution on 4.5 or 4.3 screen is overkill, 720p is already more than 330ppi!
