HTC T6 Concept

Recently, @evleaks decided to leak the specifications for an upcoming HTC device codenamed T6. The T6 is rumored to have a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, Ultrapixel camera, 2.1 MP front-facing camera, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, a microSD slot (unusual for HTC devices), and a 3300 mAh battery. But the biggest (literally) feature is a 5.9" 1080p SLCD display, beating out all of the phablet competition (except the Galaxy Mega 6.3). It is also rumored to feature BoomSound and a design very similar to the HTC One, plus an ultra-thin tipped stylus. Obviously the T6 name won't stick, but I think the HTC One Pro would be a good name.

This could put HTC in the lead in the phablet space if the build quality is as nice as the One and the software and stylus integration can at least match or come close to the Note series. But since there hasn't been any renders, photos, or size comparisons, I thought I would do a quick Photoshop job to see how its size compares to other smartphones available right now.

I basically put the bezels of a One around a 5.9" screen, redid the buttons under the screen, and widened the BoomSound speakers. I used mm to measure these because it was more precise and less confusing than inches for this application. The final dimensions I came up with were 162 mm (h) x 82 mm (w) and thickness was not determined in this concept; sorry. Then I put it next to other smartphones (all to scale).

The "little" Note II next to the T6 concept. :P (via

I'd love to know what you guys think of my work and of the T6 in general. I know it may be rough, but the to-scale sketches I did of it were slightly rougher than these so I figured I'd do it in Photoshop to make it look a bit more realistic lol. If there is any other comparisons you would like to see, I'll crank them out in a few minutes for you when I get the time. :)
