Twitter has updated its web-based and Chrome TweetDeck apps with a brand new user interface. The redesign includes a left-mounted sidebar that offers access to multiple timelines, as well as providing an easy way to view lists and settings. Previously, these features were located at the top of the app, but today's refresh brings TweetDeck in line with Twitter for Mac, which also recently received new updates. Other updates include a fresh icon for the Chrome app, and a minor UI update in the form of a blue indicator that shows when you have a new tweets. Twitter says the new apps are "a step forward in making TweetDeck feel fresh," although the company has yet to bring the new UI to its Mac or Windows apps.
