Will the Lumia 1020's lens actually be able to resolve all 41MP? Doubt it.

One of the big features of the phone is the ability to effectively "zoom" by cropping, either with a factor of 4 or 6x. This relies on the fact that the images produced by the camera are so large in mega pixels, but what wasn't mentioned is the ability of the lens to actually resolve lines of detail. With very high quality DSLRs with 35mm or APS sized sensors and large lenses very few if any are able to come even close to resolving all the detail available by the sensor, so I find it hard to believe that this phone can too. It will be very interesting to see what a "zoomed" (cropped) picture will look like when posted to the web or even seen on the phone and I'd be shocked to see the sharpness much better than what is available now.
