Android Army...Why are we fighting each other?-The Trojan horse within
Hey Android Army! I've noticed a not-so-recent-trend. Remember the reason Android was launched? It's because of Steve Job's iOS, formerly iPhoneOS. Android was created to be the direct competitor of iOS. So far, Android seems to be winning, but Android, as we know it, is already dead.
Android, as we know it, is already dead.
Manufacturers such as Samsung, HTC and LG took up Android, AND put a skin on top of it. This, as far as I am concerned, was't a big problem. The main problem is manufacturers are fighting among them-seft. It started when LG starts "Samsunging" Samsung-that is, doing precisely what Samsung did to Apple. When Samsung launched the Galaxy Note, LG launched the ridiculous Optimus Vu, which obviously failed. Afterwards, Samsung launched a sequel, the Galaxy Note 2, which was opposed by LG's Optimus G Pro. Finally Samsung launched the Galaxy S4, which was countered by LG's Optimus G.
Making the whole thing even worse, HTC joined the battle by countering Samsung hugely successful Galaxy S3 with the HTC One S, which was obvious that Samsung won. Then HTC launched the HTC One, opposed to Samsung's Galaxy S4.
We must remember why Android is created in the first place-to battle iOS-not to fight with each other. We must remember that continue doing this will only weaken Android, and finally kill it. When Android is truly dead, manufacturers won't have any more platforms to use, so they will make their own, or use the upcoming Tizen OS. But by the time manufacturers got in control, Apple, and iOS would already won the smartphone war.
