Lenovo Ultrabook question
I'm likely going to be in the market for a new Ultrabook in the next couple weeks, and am looking for some advice. I've looked around and the two machines that caught my eye are the Ideapad Yoga and Thinkpad X1 Carbon, but I'm pretty torn between the two. The models I'm considering both have a Core i7 and 8GB of RAM, and a comparable amount of storage. The price difference is not insignificant, probably close to $400 more for the Thinkpad, but I'm trying to look at the features of both laptops and decide which I'd be happiest with in the long term. I'll lay out the things that are factors for me.
-Screen: Both are 1600x900, but the less-glossy sheen on the Carbon is a HUGE factor. Also, slightly bigger while maintaining a similar chassis size/weight is nice.
-Build quality: I know both are Lenovos, but the Thinkpad build quality is pretty legendary, and, with how much I'm traveling with my laptop, strength is appreciated.
-Battery life: I haven't done a ton of looking into this, but I don't think there's a huge difference. The main thing here is the Quick Charge on the Thinkpad.
Basically, I'm leaning towards the Thinkpad, but I'd like to hear some other opinions on the decision. Are there any huge things I'm missing on the Ideapad that make it a stronger contender? I know about the hinge, but that seems kinds gimmicky.
I know in a discussion in this price range/spec sheet, the Macbook Air is going to be mentioned, but that's just not an option for me right now.
