University Device (Laptop/tablet) Advice

I'm going to university for engineering and I'm considering getting the Sony Vaio Duo 13. My reasons for this are the device's amazing battery life, the stylus that allows me to write out my math, the fairly decent specs (i5, 4GB ram, 1080p screen, etc.), the screen size, and the full sized keyboard. The camera on the rear may also be useful for scanning documents. Basically, I'm wondering if this device would be as well suited to the job as I imagine. I won't have to run AutoCAD on it or anything since there are computer labs and a laptop is not required. I will only consider Windows devices but I'm looking to see if anyone has any better suggestions. Any advice is appreciated!
