Did Anyone Else Purchase A Year of iCloud?
As a part of having paid for MobileMe, I was compensated by Apple during their switch to iCloud with a year's subscription at 20GB of storage. I didn't think much about it until a few weeks ago when I was warned that my subscription would run out in September and I would be set at 5GB instead of the 20GB I had been accustomed to.
I looked at my storage, and at just 7GB I thought that I'd just delete 2GB of stuff and live with the free option. Well... the 7GB was mainly device back-ups and I barely every bother opening up my devices in iTunes, so I guess i was stuck.
Obviously I could have sucked up the extra hassle and just started doing iTunes back ups, but these iCloud back ups had saved my arse so many times. Apparently the convenience was worth £28 a year to me. Not exactly a lot of money, but not an insignificant amount either.
I suppose this is a long-winded way of asking whether anybody else surprised themselves by purchasing this relatively mediocre service?
