Oblivion and Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski is in talks to head up a new film version of The Twilight Zonesays The Hollywood Reporter. According to sources, a script is being redeveloped for Kosinski after several iterations, including one by the writer of Robert Downey Jr.'s Sherlock Holmes; Leonardo DiCaprio's production studio Appian Way is said to be in charge of the product. Little else is known, and the film has been rumored for several years — we were hearing about a DiCaprio Twilight Zone back in 2009.

The Twilight Zone itself, despite premiering in 1959, has retained a steady presence on TV and film, with multiple rebooted series and a 1983 film that adapted some of the best-known episodes. None of these, however, have been particularly successful. This rumored film also isn't the only similar thing supposedly in the works: last year, we heard about a CBS-produced series reboot, and J.J. Abrams' studio Bad Robot is said to be working on an adaptation of Twilight Zone creator Rod Serling's final script, though it's apparently unrelated to the series.
