Split Microsoft into two companies

Henry Blodget at Business Insider speculated on CNBC that Microsoft should split in to two companies - an enterprise and cloud company and a consumer focused company. I think that's not such a bad idea. Its hard to make radical change to such a huge company. Splitting off the consumer piece would allow that business to be more nimble and innovative and almost act like a startup because there's no focus on protecting the legacy cash cows. One of the current EVPs could run the enterprise business and they could bring back J Allard to run the consumer business. He has the experience and would bring in a design focused culture which is what the consumer side of the business would need.
