Does The Verge make money?
I don't know if I'm allowed to speculate/discuss this, but it's always interested me.
Can anyone guess at The Verge's ad revenue based on readership Etc? When I look at the quality of the features, the number of staff and the number of designers, it seems hard to believe that ads cover or exceed what must be a massive staff and production cost each month.
I know lots of resources are shared with the parent company, but I don't know, The Verge just 'looks' like it costs a hell of a lot more to run than other tech sites such as Engadget.
So is The Verge profitable? It would be interesting to know how much profit other tech sites make too (though I guess unless they're publicly listed then that info is never gonna be available).
