iWatch will probably not be hugely successful.

Smartwatches are always going to be paired to phones for a huge number of reasons. I expect the initial batch of android smartwatches to be fairly mediocre and struggle to gain traction. Competition among manufacturers should see them improve fairly quickly and prices to drop.

Problem is, there simply isn't enough iPhones for the iWatch to dominate or even be top seller. Even if the iwatch is substantially better (most likely) there aren't enough iphones selling anymore. You can use an android phone and still want to buy and ipad as they work independently but this isn't true for a watch.

Or am I wrong ?
