Google Play Edition Tablets - Android's key to tablet success?
I was thinking about Google Play edition phones, and how they will never get any major traction outside of the technology-elite community because they are simply too expensive at the moment and unsubsidized by carriers (Average consumer: "Why would I get this? It doesnt have Blinkfeed, Smart Stay or whatever else") But think about it: None of these are major selling points for tablets. All I have seen most people do on tablets is browse the web, run apps, and play games. So the main key is: Why not make a Google Play edition tablet? It might help sell Android to the iPad community and elite community alike. It would do away with the skins we all hate. It's not subsidized,so no outlandish prices. We would have Android tablet perfection if this happened. It really makes you wonder why they started with phones.
