Is it just me or is Xbox Music on WP8 completely, utterly, broken?
I have a bit of an issue right now trying to use Xbox Music on my HTC 8X (on Verizon), and by a bit of an issue I mean that the service I'm paying $10 a month for refuses to operate on an OS made by the company that operates the service.
Lets get a couple of things out of the way. Yes, I have an up to date Xbox Music pass. Yes I have updated my phone to GDR2. Yes I do run Windows 8 at home.
Here is my delimma: The playlists I create on music.xbox.com or the Xbox Music app in Windows 8 sync to my WP8 device (i.e. they show up in my playlists view) but some, or all, of the songs in the playlists are missing, and refuse to sync to the phone, and it has been this way for weeks.
Here are a couple of pictures of my issue. The following are screenshots from music.xbox.com and the playlists as they exist there:
The following is a screenshot of my playlists as they exist in the Xbox Music app on my phone:
This is just an example. For a breakdown of exactly how f**ked up the playlists are on the phone let me compare the number of songs in the playlist on music.xbox.com to the number of songs that show up in the playlists on the phone.
# of songs on music.xbox.com vs # of songs on phone
- Atmospheric: 1 vs. 0
- Dubstep/Trance/EDM: 12 vs. 6
- Good Shit: 13 vs. 6
- Grimer: 34 vs. 30
- Party Hard: 8 vs. 4
- She Wolves: 11 vs. 9
- Swerve: 13 vs. 2
What is the issue here?
