Dear Microsoft:

I am excited at the prospect of 7-8 inch Windows 8 tablets in time for the holidays but it forces me to ask a question, why not put phone capability into regular Windows 8? The size difference between an Iconia W3 and a Galaxy Mega is not a lot. The idea of having my phone BE my computer that I just drop into a docking station when I get home is huge. I am a Windows computer guy and an Android phone guy but a full Windows (not Windows phone or Windows RT) LTE tablet would likely be enough for me to make the switch.

I look at the 3 ecosystems as driving towards convergence and as late as Windows is to the phone space, I feel like X86 functionality trumps the other two if they would focus on it rather than playing at the Windows phone distraction.
