My daughter is hooked on Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

I know it's completely unimportant, but I'm so happy about it.

It's the dream of every dad to show his kids the nerdy things in his past, and have them fall in love with them too.
I've tried Star Wars on them, but... eh. They're far more into Anime. That's their 21st century geek-love.
But she's RAVING about the book. The best thing she's ever read. And she's trying to get friends at school to read it. (More depressingly, she's trying to get them to read, and not openly mock the concept.)

That's it really. My daughter is stifling laughs, and getting into the whole "42" thing, just like I did back in the 1980's.
She's watched the 2005 movie too now, though I am going to try the old 1985 TV series on her. I don't know how that will go down. She loves New Dr Who, but has no interest in the old Tom Baker stuff.
But I am going to push my luck.

Anyway. I am filled with fatherly pride right now.
