Wearables: Why are the better fitness devices being left out?
I was planning to post this after watching the most recent Top Shelf, but I've noticed a trend not only on The Verge, but all tech sites, in that they don't include the better wearable fitness devices on the market. I'm talking about devices from Garmin, Polar, Suunto, etc.
The products from these companies are better fitness-specific devices than most, if not all, devices mentioned on Top Shelf, and provide better data and information. Garmin Connect for example allows me to share my data with friends, as well as load their data to my watch so I can have a virtual running partner and GPS-based mapping to direct me through a route while looking at nothing but my wrist.
So my question is, why are these devices being left out of reviews? Am I missing something?
