The death of removable batteries

So with today's announcement of the G2 came some other big news, the G2 has a non-removable 3,000mah battery, which leaves only BlackBerry and Samsung of the major OEMs still making removable batteries in their flagships, and its rumored BlackBerry's next flagship (the z30) will also do away with the removable battery.

So how much longer will Samsung produce phones with a removable back? Or could other manufacturers move back and start including those in future handsets?

Personally, I don't care too much either way, i don!t keep my phones long enough to need replacing the battery and its a pain to carry 2 batteries around and keep them both charged, so even phones that I have had with removable backs I never took advantage of that feature. Just give me long lasting battery life and I'll be happy.
