Jean-Baptiste Queru "JBQ" the head of AOSP, is leaving the project.
JBQ is quitting AOSP as mentioned on his Google+ profile.
There's no point being the maintainer of an Operating System that can't boot to the home screen on its flagship device for lack of GPU support
This is in reference to the Nexus 7(2013), there are no 'factory' images available for it, presumably because Qualcomm won't allow them to post binaries related to the GPU, which would also explain why JBQ can't compile plain AOSP for it. JBQ has been such an awesome advocate of open-source with android, and with projects like CyanogenMod. What does this mean for future Nexus products, or the future of AOSP android as a whole?
