Anyone else after a 7"-8" tablet that runs stock Android but with a premium hardware finish like the iPad Mini?

Don't get me wrong, I am one of the worlds biggest fans of Google and Android. Full stop.

However, I feel that Android is severely lacking in having a premium smaller tablet.

I currently have an Asus Transformer Prime (TF201) and it's ageing, badly. It attracted me initially because of the powerhouse it was and the finish of it. But times have moved on, its no longer receiving updates and I just want something a bit smaller and more portable.

Of course there's the new Nexus 7. Great product, great price, AMAZING screen, no doubt about it. If people ask me to recommend an Android tablet I send them that way.

BUT, I can't help but think that it's not that great aesthetically. I don't want it in a bland boring black colour, and what is going on with the bevels!! I want some premium HTC One Materials, with the same great Nexus 7 internal hardware and with some great official accessories (like Apples Magic cover), not like the rubbish stuff Asus seems to throw about at the minute.

Does this make sense to anyone else? I don't mind splashing a bit more cash for a more premium aesthetic. Perhaps Google should add to the Nexus brand, with it's current rock bottom priced products kept as one part of it but then add a premium line of products (like the Chromebook Pixel) to another part of it's brand.

Any thoughts?
