Jailbreak/unlock a 3GS
I got an iPhone 3GS with a new bootrom to be 'fixed'. It needs to be jailbroken and unlocked to work, but the user (not technically savvy and the phone was a hand-down) updated it, i'm guessing via iTunes to 6.1.3. I tried using sn0wbreeze to do a recovery with a custom IPSW, but it gets stuck in a bootlob. I tried iBooty, doesn't work. I just tried Redsn0w's Just Boot and it did a reboot, but now it's stuck on a black screen, not on the Apple logo.
I tried to restore it again with the same (and a freshly modified) IPSW, same thing.
Is there anything else i can do to the thing to wake it up? When i got it it wanted me to activate it. I can't check the baseband version, i don't have any SHSH blobs and if you ask me if i have anything else, well... I don't. I have a phone and a cable. The rest has to be obtainable via the internet or something simmilar.
The question here is, can anything else be done or has it become an old and quite beat up paper weight?
